What is Live Stream Cyborg?
Live Stream Cyborg records live streams online. Paste the URL of a live stream — a webinar, concert, sports feed, gaming broadcast and more — and our app captures it from beginning to end on our servers, then gives you the recording as an MP4.
Do I need to install software or an extension?
No. There's nothing to install and no browser extension. Paste the stream URL and the recording happens on our servers — you don't need to keep your computer or the tab running.
Does it work on a mobile phone?
Yes. Live Stream Cyborg works on all Android phones, and on iOS 12 and newer. Because the recording happens server-side, you only need a web browser — no app to install.

Sites, formats & quality

Does it work on my favourite site?
Live Stream Cyborg works on most live-streaming sites — if the stream plays live in a browser, paste the URL and we'll try to capture it. Not sure a specific site will work? Paste the URL anyway; if we can't record it, we'll tell you.
What format and resolution is the recording?
Recordings are saved as MP4, the most widely-supported video format. Streams delivered over common live-stream protocols (HLS/M3U8, MPEG-DASH) work, and we always capture the best resolution the stream is broadcasting.
When does the download link expire?
The download link stays active for 60 minutes. Download your recording any time within that window; after that you can generate a new link.
Why is it better than a browser extension?
Recordings are anonymous, the output is an optimised MP4, it works on any site rather than a few, it's faster than an extension, and it runs on every device with a browser — phone, tablet or computer — with nothing to install.

Do you track who records what?
No. All requests are anonymous and we do not track or monitor who records what. Privacy is a fundamental part of the service — see the privacy policy for the full list of processors that receive the minimum data needed to run the service.
"URL is not valid" — what does that mean?
It means the link in the input box isn't a valid address. Copy the full URL straight from your browser's address bar and paste it in — it should start with http:// or https://.
