What is Tweet Cyborg?
A web app that saves an X (Twitter) post as an image. Paste the post's URL and it renders the post — text, handle, date and counts — as a clean PNG you can download and share anywhere.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Tweet Cyborg is a website: open it, paste the link to a post, and download the image. There's no extension to add, no app to install, and nothing to keep updated.
Why is this better than a browser extension?
Four reasons: your capture stays anonymous; the tool does one thing, so the framing is right rather than approximate; processing is faster; and it works on any device with a browser instead of only the desktop you installed the extension on.
Which devices does it work on?
Any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS 12 or higher. The capture runs on our servers, so a phone produces exactly the same image as a desktop.
Using it
It says "URL is not valid" — what does that mean?
The link in the box isn't a complete link to a single post. The safest fix is to copy it straight from your browser's address bar while the post is open, so it looks like https://x.com/user/status/1789… — a profile link, a search result or a partial paste won't work. Both x.com and twitter.com are accepted, with or without a www. or mobile. prefix.
Can I capture a whole thread or several posts at once?
Tweet Cyborg captures one post per run, so a thread means pasting each post's URL in turn. There's no cap on how many you do — a day pass or a plan covers unlimited captures — but a long thread will take a few passes.
It doesn't work for me — what now?
Check the URL is the full link to a single public post first. A post from a protected account can't be captured, because it isn't publicly visible. If it still fails, head to Support with the link you tried — we usually reply within a day.
When does the download link expire?
After 60 minutes. Save the image as soon as it's ready — after that the link expires and you'd run the capture again.

Do you track who captured which post?
No. The link you paste is never stored, so nothing here ties you to a particular post. The author isn't notified either; there's no like, no follow, no view from you. Like any site, we do keep plain usage counts — which tool ran, whether it worked, and a visitor identifier derived from your IP address that is recomputed every day — but never the post you captured.
Can I publish the image I capture?
Tweet Cyborg doesn't grant you rights to someone else's post. The words and any photos in it still belong to their author, and X's terms still apply — so credit the account, and get permission for commercial use.
Does the image look the same as the post?
Yes — it's the post itself, rendered and captured, not a redrawn copy. The handle, display name, text, date and the account's avatar all appear as they do on X.
