The format most cameras and phones save. JPG throws data away every time it is re-saved, so converting to PNG freezes the image where it is — useful before editing, and required by tools that refuse lossy input.

Do I need to install anything?
No. Image to PNG Cyborg runs in your browser — no extension, no desktop software, no permissions. The conversion happens on our servers, so even a phone can convert a large batch without slowing down.
What devices and browsers are supported?
Image to PNG Cyborg works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS 12 or later. Because the work happens server-side, a phone or tablet converts just as fast as a desktop.
Why is this better than a browser extension?

Which formats can I convert to PNG?
JPG/JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIF/TIFF, PSD, WEBP, SVG, DNG, ARW, DCM, WMF, TGA and BPG — 13 formats in total, including Sony camera RAW (ARW), Adobe DNG and Photoshop PSD files. PNG itself is not accepted, since it is the output format. Camera RAW means specifically ARW (Sony) and DNG — other makers’ raw formats such as CR2 or NEF aren’t supported yet.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 50 files per batch. Drop them all in at once — no queue, no per-file waiting. There’s no limit on how many batches you can run while your pass or plan is active.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 200 MB, which comfortably covers scanned TIFFs, layered PSDs and full-resolution camera RAW. Very large files simply take longer to upload and process, depending on your connection.
Will converting lose image quality?
No. PNG is a lossless format, so the conversion keeps every pixel of the original — no compression artefacts and no downscaling, and no watermark is added. Where the source already has transparency, such as a PSD or an SVG, the transparent areas are preserved rather than flattened onto a background.
How do I get the best quality conversion?
Start from the highest-resolution original you have rather than a resized or already-compressed copy. Converting a full-size TIFF, PSD or camera RAW (ARW/DNG) file gives a noticeably sharper PNG than converting a screenshot of the same image.
Can I adjust the output settings?
Not currently — Image to PNG Cyborg runs a single standard conversion tuned for quality and broad compatibility, with no quality slider to get wrong. If you need smaller files afterwards, run the PNGs through Compress Image Cyborg.

How much does it cost?
A €1 day pass gives you 24 hours of unlimited conversions. Yearly (€6) and lifetime (€30) plans are also available (+ VAT). Every plan unlocks all 78 AppsCyborg tools, not just this one.
How long does my download link stay valid?
60 minutes. After that the link expires and the converted files are removed — just re-run the conversion if you need them again.
Do you track or keep my files?
No. We don’t run ad or analytics tracking on what you convert, and your files are never sold or shared for marketing. Uploaded images are processed only to build your PNGs and are removed once the 60-minute download window closes.
Is there a limit on how often I can convert?
No. While your day pass, yearly or lifetime plan is active you can run as many 50-file batches as you like — there is no monthly quota and no per-conversion charge.
Can I convert a PNG back to its original format?
No — this tool converts other formats into PNG, not the other way around. To go to JPG, WEBP or another format, use the matching converter on AppsCyborg (for example Image to JPG Cyborg), all included in your account.
