Why a paid converter is the one worth using

Free converters bury you in ads, cap your batch size, watermark your output and monetise your files. Image to WEBP Cyborg is funded by you — so it works for you.

50 files in one batch

Convert up to 50 images at once instead of one-at-a-time. No queue, no per-file wait.

Anonymous & private

No ad or analytics tracking on what you convert, and your files are never sold or shared for marketing.

Smaller files, no watermark

WebP packs the same picture into far less space — typically 25–50% smaller than the JPG or PNG you started with, with no watermark and no downscaling.

Free WebP converters exist because ads and your uploaded files pay for them — and they still cap you at a handful of images, stamp a watermark on the output, or quietly downscale quality. Image to WEBP Cyborg starts at €1 for a day, installs nothing, converts up to 50 files at once across 14 input formats, and keeps transparency intact. No pop-ups, no watermark, no ad tracking.

Every image format we convert to WebP

Photos, graphics, camera RAW, design files — if it’s an image, it converts to WebP. Drop the odd formats other tools choke on.

JPG to WebP

Joint Photographic Experts Group

The format most cameras and phones save. Re-encoding a JPG as WebP typically strips 25–50% off the file with no visible difference — the easiest single win for product shots and gallery images.

PNG to WebP

Portable Network Graphics

The biggest win on most websites. PNG screenshots and interface assets are usually several times larger than they need to be — WebP keeps the transparency and the sharp edges while cutting the file size, which is exactly what a page-speed audit asks for.

TIFF to WebP

Tagged Image File Format (.tif / .tiff)

The scanner and print-production standard. A single high-resolution TIFF scan can run to hundreds of megabytes; a WebP of the same page is a fraction of that and still readable, which is why archives and email attachments want WebP.

PSD to WebP

Adobe Photoshop Document

Layered Photoshop files only open in Photoshop. Converting flattens the composite to a single WebP your client, printer or CMS can actually view — no Creative Cloud licence needed at the other end.

SVG to WebP

Scalable Vector Graphics

Logos and icons ship as SVG because they scale without blurring — but marketplaces, ad platforms and office documents frequently reject vectors. Rasterising to WebP gives you a flat image those tools accept.

ARW to WebP

Sony Alpha Raw

Straight off a Sony sensor, an ARW holds far more data than a finished photo needs and opens in almost nothing. Batch-converting a shoot to WebP is how you get proofs to a client the same day.

DNG to WebP

Adobe Digital Negative

Adobe's open camera-raw container, and what many phones save when you shoot in pro mode. Great for editing, useless for sharing — convert to WebP when the photo is finished and needs to leave your machine.

DICOM to WebP

DICOM medical imaging (.dcm)

Scans come off hospital equipment as DCM files that need specialist viewers. Converting to WebP makes a slice viewable in any browser — useful for reports and second opinions. Check your local rules before moving patient data.

BMP to WebP

Windows Bitmap

Old Windows software and industrial equipment still emit uncompressed BMPs, which are enormous for what they contain. WebP cuts the size dramatically with no visible difference on photographic content.

GIF to WebP

Graphics Interchange Format

GIF caps out at 256 colours, which banding makes obvious on photos. Converting to WebP gives you the full colour range — on an animated GIF you get the first frame as a still image.

TGA to WebP

Truevision Targa (.tga)

Game engines and 3D renderers still write Targa files for textures and frame output. Converting to WebP gets those renders into a document, a portfolio or a bug report without a specialist viewer.

WMF to WebP

Windows Metafile

The clip-art and diagram format buried in old Word and PowerPoint documents. WMF barely renders outside Microsoft Office — converting to WebP rescues those graphics for use anywhere else.

BPG to WebP

Better Portable Graphics

A high-efficiency format that never won broad browser support, so BPG files tend to be unopenable wherever you actually need them. Converting to WebP is usually the fastest way to see one at all.

More on the way

Included with every plan

New input formats get added over time — and a lifetime plan includes every one of them at no extra cost.

All 14 inputs: JPG/JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF/TIFF, PSD, WEBP, SVG, DNG, ARW, DCM, WMF, TGA, BPG, up to 200 MB per file. Output is always WebP — smaller than the same picture as JPG or PNG, transparency-capable, and supported by every current browser.

See it in action

A 30-second walkthrough: drop your files, watch them convert, download your WebP images. That’s the whole tool.

Ship a faster site, one batch at a time

WebP is the format browsers actually want. Here’s where a batch convert pays for itself:

W

A whole asset folder before upload

Convert every image in your assets folder to WebP in one drop, then upload the lot to your site or CMS. 50 files at a time, no per-file wait.

R

Core Web Vitals that won’t budge

Images are usually the heaviest thing on a page. Swapping JPG and PNG for WebP cuts the bytes visitors download and moves LCP in the right direction.

P

PNG screenshots that weigh too much

Documentation and knowledge-base pages fill up with heavy PNG screenshots. WebP keeps them crisp at a fraction of the size.

F

Logos and icons with transparency

WebP carries an alpha channel, so a logo keeps its clear background — no falling back to PNG just to avoid a white box behind it.

T

Product photos for a store

Batch your catalogue through before it goes into WooCommerce, Shopify or your CMS. Smaller images, faster product pages, same picture.

S

Camera RAW straight to web-ready

ARW and DNG files are enormous and no browser opens them. Convert straight to WebP and skip the JPG round-trip entirely.

Whatever the source, drop up to 50 files and get WebP back in seconds.

Common questions

Getting started

What is Image to WEBP Cyborg?
Image to WEBP Cyborg converts other image formats — JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD, SVG, DNG, ARW, DCM, WMF, TGA and BPG — into WebP files. Drop your images in, and it hands them back as WebP, up to 50 at a time and typically 25–50% smaller than what you started with.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Image to WEBP Cyborg runs in your browser — no extension, no desktop software, no permissions. The conversion happens on our servers, so even a phone can convert a large batch without slowing down.
What devices and browsers are supported?
Image to WEBP Cyborg works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS 12 or later. Because the work happens server-side, a phone or tablet converts just as fast as a desktop.
Why is this better than a browser extension?
Four reasons: there is nothing to install and no browser permissions to grant; you can convert 50 files in one batch instead of one at a time; conversion runs on our servers, so it doesn’t slow your machine down or depend on your hardware; and we don’t sell or share your files, which is how most “free” extensions are funded.

Formats, batches & quality

Which formats can I convert to WebP?
JPG/JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF/TIFF, PSD, WEBP, SVG, DNG, ARW, DCM, WMF, TGA and BPG — 14 formats in total, including Sony camera RAW (ARW), Adobe DNG and Photoshop PSD files. WEBP is accepted as an input as well, which simply re-encodes an existing WebP. Camera RAW means specifically ARW (Sony) and DNG — other makers’ raw formats such as CR2 or NEF aren’t supported yet.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 50 files per batch. Drop them all in at once — no queue, no per-file waiting. There’s no limit on how many batches you can run while your pass or plan is active.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 200 MB, which comfortably covers scanned TIFFs, layered PSDs and full-resolution camera RAW. Very large files simply take longer to upload and process, depending on your connection.
Will converting lose image quality?
WebP is a lossy format, like JPG: the picture is re-encoded at a high quality setting, and that is exactly what makes the file so much smaller. On photographs the difference isn’t visible at normal viewing size; on flat graphics with hard edges or fine text, PNG may suit you better. Nothing is downscaled and no watermark is added. Transparency is preserved, so a PNG, PSD or SVG with a clear background stays clear.
How do I get the best quality conversion?
Start from the highest-resolution original you have rather than a resized or already-compressed copy. Converting a full-size TIFF, PSD or camera RAW (ARW/DNG) file gives a noticeably sharper WebP than converting a screenshot of the same image.
Can I adjust the output settings?
Not currently — Image to WEBP Cyborg runs a single standard conversion tuned for a good size-to-quality balance, with no quality slider to get wrong. WebP output is already compressed, so there is rarely anything left to squeeze.

Pricing, privacy & limits

How much does it cost?
A €1 day pass gives you 24 hours of unlimited conversions. Yearly (€6) and lifetime (€30) plans are also available (+ VAT). Every plan unlocks all 78 AppsCyborg tools, not just this one.
How long does my download link stay valid?
60 minutes. After that the link expires and the converted files are removed — just re-run the conversion if you need them again.
Do you track or keep my files?
No. We don’t run ad or analytics tracking on what you convert, and your files are never sold or shared for marketing. Uploaded images are processed only to build your WebP files and are removed once the 60-minute download window closes.
Is there a limit on how often I can convert?
No. While your day pass, yearly or lifetime plan is active you can run as many 50-file batches as you like — there is no monthly quota and no per-conversion charge.
Can I convert WebP back to another format?
Yes, but with a different tool — this one converts other formats into WebP. To go the other way, use Image to PNG Cyborg or Image to JPG Cyborg, both included in your account.
Still have a question?
We usually reply within a day.
