What makes a good one. Triangulation rewards big shapes and strong colour: sunsets, mountains, architecture, a silhouette against sky. It is not a portrait tool — faces get abstracted into facets, which is striking as a graphic but rarely flattering as a likeness. Fine detail and text disappear entirely, and that is the effect, not a fault. Getting started

What is Delaunay Cyborg?
A web app that rebuilds your photograph out of flat triangles — the low-poly look. Drop a picture in, download the artwork at full size, no watermark, no ads.
Why “Delaunay”?
Delaunay triangulation is the method used to divide the picture into triangles — it favours well-shaped ones over long thin slivers, which is why the result looks like faceted glass rather than shattered glass. You don’t need to know any of that to use it.
Which formats can I send, and what comes back?
JPG, PNG and WEBP all work, along with GIF, BMP and TIFF. What comes back is always a PNG, whatever you sent. Every facet boundary is a hard edge, and hard edges are what JPEG smears — the same artwork saved as a JPEG picks up visible fuzz along thousands of them.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes — pick the photo from your camera roll on Android or on iOS 12 and higher. Nothing to install, and no permission to your whole library.

Quality & results

Which photos work best?
Big shapes and strong colour: sunsets, mountains, coastlines, architecture, a silhouette against sky. Cluttered scenes with fifty small objects give a busy mesh that reads as noise rather than design.
Does it work on portraits?
It runs on anything, but a face comes back abstracted into facets rather than flattered — excellent as graphic art, poor as a likeness. If you want the person to be recognisable, use Cartoon Cyborg or Painting Cyborg instead.
Can I choose how many triangles?
No — the mesh density is chosen for you, one drop and one result. It is set as a share of the frame rather than a count per pixel, so a big photo and a small one come back looking the same, just at different resolutions. The lever you have is the crop: framing tighter puts bigger, bolder facets over the part you care about.
I ran the same photo twice and got two different pictures.
That is how it works. The triangle corners are scattered at random, so every run draws a new mesh over the same photograph. It is worth using: if a facet lands awkwardly across a face or a horizon, run it again and you will get a different arrangement for nothing.
Do I get an SVG or vector file?
You get an ordinary image file at the size you sent, not editable vector shapes. For a wallpaper, a slide or a print that’s exactly what you want — send a large original if it’s going on a wall.
Text and small details vanished.
That’s the effect working. Anything smaller than a triangle is absorbed into the colour of that facet, so signage, logos and fine texture disappear. Crop closer if a detail has to survive.
Can I do a whole set at once?
Yes — up to 50 photos in one run, returned as a single ZIP. It takes roughly 15 seconds per phone photo, so even a full batch is a coffee rather than an afternoon. A day pass has no limit on how many runs you make.
When does the download link expire?
After 60 minutes. Save the image as soon as it’s ready — after that the link expires and you’d upload the photo again.
